God's Plan in Action--His Universe

When we look into the universe beyond our solar system, we sometimes see what appears to be threatening chaos—supernovas, black holes, exploding stars, colliding galaxies, comets speeding through space, and the like. However, the truth is that we are witnessing precise, calculated order. Everything happening in our universe is governed by laws. Every law has a maker and an enforcer who compels compliance with the established law to avoid chaos.

Unarguably, it is a simple fact: "…every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God." God has a plan. Part of that plan was to create spirit beings like himself, who have been given the task of applying and enforcing his laws in the universe in harmony with his design. The Bible says all these "sons of God" applauded at God's creation of the earth. So, when we see a supernova, or spot what we call a black hole, or an exploding star, it is these spirit beings carrying out their task to maintain the stability of our universe.

When men build cities, they begin with a plan and then start construction. They also establish laws and assign enforcers of those laws to maintain order. As time goes on, a city never stays the same. It must progress and change. Trees are cut down. Ground is dug up. Things are moved around. Buildings are erected and, in time, destroyed, with something new taking their place.

So it is with the universe we live in. When we see a supernova, or spot something we call a black hole, or an exploding star, it is God's plan progressing—and his enforcers, spirit beings like himself, carrying out their task to maintain the precise, calculated order of our universe.

It is also a fact that our home, Earth, is located in the most stable part of the Milky Way Galaxy. That was no accident; it was planned that way. God also gave us a task: to populate the earth, care for all other life we share it with, and turn it into a paradise. He even gave us a model of what he wanted the earth to look like—the Garden of Eden. God's plan will succeed; his will shall be done. God's enforcers will make it happen.
