Daniel's Great Image—the Feet and Toes

Image
Daniel's prophecy of the Great Image in Daniel 2 is presently being fulfilled. When Daniel wrote his book, Babylon was the world power and was the golden head of the image. Medo-Persia overthrew Babylon to become the next world power--the breast and arms of silver. Greece conquered Medo Persia--the belly and thighs of brass. Greece was overtaken by Rome--the legs of iron. Next, Britain emerged from the world power of Rome, retaining the element of iron. Continuing, Daniel says, "And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided." It is a historical fact the United States emerged from Britain. The two countries at one time were divided, but over time became allied with one another. Britain and the United States are the feet and toes--"part potter's clay, and part iron." In time, the United States became the dominant of the two but remains allied with Britain. Every historian today would agree the ...

The Bible's Meaning of Heaven, Who is Chosen to go There, and Why

Image
In the Bible, the use of the word heaven can refer to everything from the ground up. What we today call the atmosphere is encompassed in the word heaven because all winged animals, such as birds or butterflies are called "fowls of the heavens." (Job 35:11) Also, Revelation 19:17 uses the words "fowls that fly in the midst of heaven."  Everything outside the earth's atmosphere, outer space, is referred to as heaven, which would include the realm of the moon, the sun, the galaxies, and the physical universe, Deuteronomy 4:19 says, "And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven..." The place where the angels reside is referred to as heaven. Mark 13:32 states, "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." The place where God personally resides is also referred to as heaven.  Understanding...

Jesus was all about Truth--Honor him with the Truth

Image
Religious leaders call the events surrounding Jesus’ birth in the Gospels “the First Christmas.” However, nowhere in the New Testament will you find Jesus’ disciples celebrating his birthday. In fact, the day and month of Jesus’ birth are absent from the Bible—and there is a reason for that. The simple and truthful answer is that first‑century Jews did not celebrate birthdays. The Jewish historian Josephus stated, “Nay, indeed, the law does not permit us to make festivals at the birth of our children and thereby afford occasion of drinking to excess” (Josephus, translated by W. Whiston, Against Apion, Book II, Chapter 26). Encyclopedia Judaica is equally direct on this topic: “The celebration of birthdays is unknown in traditional Jewish ritual.” Therefore, it is reasonable to believe that Joseph and Mary, who were Jews, would not have celebrated their children’s birthdays. It is also reasonable to believe that Jesus would not have celebrated birthdays and would not have desired his ow...

The Bible or Secular Historians--Who do You Choose to Believe?

Image
Bible chronology indicates the destruction of Jerusalem, and the beginning of the Hebrew exile occurred in 607 B.C.E. Jeremiah prophesied this for Israel, "And all this land will be reduced to ruins and will become an object of horror, and these nations will have to serve the king of Babylon for 70 years." "For this is what Jehovah says, 'When 70 years at Babylon are fulfilled, I will turn my attention to you, and I will make good my promise by bringing you back to this place.'" According to many historians, the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians took place in 586 B.C.E., and the surviving Israelites were taken into exile to Babylon and its territories leaving Israel literally emptied and desolate. Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon. Due to his policies of religious tolerance, he decreed in 539 B.C.E. the Israelites to be freed to return to their homeland. A remnant that numbered 42,360 made the journey back to Israel, arriving in Judah in 537 B.C.E....

The Truth about the Star in Matthew's Gospel

Image
This is the truth about the star. From examining Matthew’s gospel account, it is clear the star was not an ordinary star one would see in the sky. Rather, it had an evil intent and was not divinely inspired. Matthew’s account reads: "And after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the East arrived in Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is the King of the Jews who has been born? For we saw his star rising and have come to pay him homage.’ When King Herod heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him..." The first thing to note about Matthew’s words is that the star did not lead the Magi directly to Jesus but first to Jerusalem and King Herod. If the star had a good intent and was divinely inspired, why would God lead the Magi to the very man who would seek to kill Jesus? It is evident the star’s intent was to harm Jesus; therefore, it was a manifestation created by the Devil. Jerusalem, King Herod, and even the chief priests were...

We are Approaching an Inflection Point

Image
According to the Bible, before the Great Deluge, rebellious angels—violating God's natural purpose for them—defiantly cohabited with human women to father a creation of their own, all with the intent of destroying God's work. They would have eventually succeeded if God had not intervened. In addition, these rebellious angels possessed power and technology that God did not want imperfect humans to have at that time. So, God completely buried everything that was part of that corrupted human society beneath the sea and mud of the earth. God knew exactly when human technology would again reach a point where it would become a threat to their own existence—and we are very close to that point. The AI world humanity is planning for marks the moment when God will need to intervene. AI technology is about information: controlling what people see, hear, and read—essentially influencing their thinking. It is the most dangerous weapon in the hands of an imperfect being. It is already blurri...

God's Plan in Action--His Universe

Image
When we look into the universe beyond our solar system, we sometimes see what appears to be threatening chaos—supernovas, black holes, exploding stars, colliding galaxies, comets speeding through space, and the like. However, the truth is we are witnessing precise, calculated order. Everything happening in our universe is governed by laws. Every law has a maker and an enforcer who compels compliance with the established law to avoid chaos. Unarguably, it is a simple fact: "…every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God." God has a plan. Part of that plan was to create spirit beings like himself, who have been given the task of applying and enforcing his laws in the universe in harmony with his design. The Bible says all these "sons of God" applauded at God's creation of the earth. So, when we see a supernova, or spot what we call a black hole, or an exploding star, it is these spirit beings carrying out their task to mainta...

When it comes to God and Jesus Christ, there is a reason why the Bible calls one the Father and the other the Son, and that is because it is exactly what their relationship is, a father to a son.  A father and a son are two distinctly different individuals. A father does not have to share life; he chooses to share life. A father gives life to his son; a son does not give life to the father. A father does not need a son to live. A son owes his life to the father. A father teaches his son; a son does not teach his father. Therefore, a father is greater than a son in every way. A father possesses the ultimate power to choose whether to share life or not to share life.  God the Father had no beginning, the Son, who was called the Word and became Jesus Christ, is the firstborn of creation and had a beginning. The Word lives because his Father decided to share life and he was God's first creation.  Don't take my word for it, listen to the words of Jesus Christ, God the Father's...

Why do religious leaders insist Jesus was executed on a cross, when he was not? It is either they do not know what they should know, or they are complicit with promoting an untruth.  When reading the Bible it must be pointed out, it was not written in English, it was translated into English from Hebrew and Greek. The two Greek words used by the writers of the New Testament to describe the instrument upon which Jesus was executed were "stauros" and "xylon". All reputable Biblical historians agree (footnote), the Greek word "stauros signified a stake, an upright pole, or piece of paling." The Greek word xylon meant "tree". In fact, KJ, RS, JB, and Dy translations recognize "xylon" to mean "tree" as written in Galatians 3:13, where it says, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree..." Acts 5:30 concurs, "The God of o...

My question is, why do Christian denominations refuse to use or say God's name? God is just a title not a name, and quite impersonal. Jesus prayed on the last night of his life, lifting up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."  Jesus clearly says his Father is "the only true God". As Jesus concluded his prayer, he said, "And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it..." Jesus clearly states his Father, "the only true God", has a name, and he made it known. What is Jesus' Father's name?  God's name in the Bible is the Hebrew Tetragrammaton represented by the four consonants YHWH. It is recognized as Yahweh in Hebrew or in Engli...

Daniel's Amazing Prophecy of 70 Weeks Foretelling the Appearance of Jesus the Messiah and More.

Image
While Daniel was praying, the angel Gabriel came to him with a prophecy. Gabriel, to start said, "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times." Daniel recorded the full prophecy in his book at Daniel 9:24-27. Gabriel said. "Seventy weeks are determined..." He was not speaking of a literal 70 weeks because we know the Messiah did appear during the Persian Empire's rule. It is a prophetic 70 weeks. According to the Bible, the prophetic standard is "each day for a year....

The Truth of Jesus' Resurrection According to the Bible

Image
According to the King James Version as recorded at Luke 23:43, Jesus said to the evildoer, "Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise." Was Jesus promising the evildoer he would be in paradise with him that particular day? From appearances, that would seem to be the case. However, appearances can be deceiving. If this version of the original scripture were true, it would imply Jesus was in paradise immediately after his death. If that were true, why would he need to be resurrected? However, other scriptures say otherwise. The King James Version, as well as other versions of the holy scriptures, have mistakenly placed the comma in Jesus' statement in regard to the word "today" in the wrong place. The translator's mistake was a result of the false belief they held concerning the idea people go to heaven after death. A false idea influenced by the mistaken doctrine of the immortal soul. (Ezekiel 18:4,20) (Ecclesiastes 9:5,10) (Psalm 146:3...

The Last, Best Hope for Humanity, Jesus and His Administration

Image
Nowhere in the Old Testament Scriptures does it speak of people personally going to the heavens where God resides. The stories of Enoch and Elijah ascending into the heavens where the person of God resides have been falsely represented. The word heaven, in the Old and New Testament Scriptures, refers to everything from the ground up. The scriptures refer to birds as flying in the heavens, the breathable atmosphere around the earth. (Revelation 7:19) (Genesis 1:7,8) The sun, the moon, and the stars are referred to as being in the heavens, space outside the earth's atmosphere. (Genesis 1:16,17) (Isaiah 13:10) The first mention of a person ascending to the heaven where God resides is in the New Testament Scriptures, and that individual was Jesus Christ. He himself made that point clear when he said, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven." (John 3:13) Heaven was where Jesus was from, and heaven was where he returned. "No man hath ascen...

Jesus' Parable of the Wheat and Weeds

Image
You have to ask the obvious and necessary question concerning what has come to be called Christianity: Why are there so many different Christian denominations that disagree with one another when Jesus and his apostles gave us one truth? They all claim to believe in the book of truth inspired by God—the Bible. Yet Jesus himself answered that question for us and explained what would go wrong. “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up th...

The Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, the Shroud of Turin, and the Cross--What is the Truth about These Objects

Image
Many religious legends and fables have been concocted through the centuries. Their purpose was to legitimize the grand lie that became a new religion during the reign of Constantine, when Christian names were attached to pagan celebrations and beliefs. As for the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, the Shroud of Turin, and the Cross, none of these objects are physically used or mentioned in the New Testament after the original events in which they were involved—and two of them never existed. The Ark of the Covenant disappeared before Babylon conquered Jerusalem and destroyed its temple. When the Babylonians ransacked the temple prior to burning it, the Ark was nowhere to be found. Is it possible that God disposed of it to prevent misuse if it were captured or idolized inappropriately? One thing is certain: Jeremiah declared that the Ark’s relevance would no longer be consequential once the original temple was gone. It had served its purpose. The prophet Jeremiah wrote the following ab...

Jesus Christ is the Rock Upon Which the Church was Built

Image
Nowhere in the New Testament does it say—or even imply—that the Apostle Peter ever went to Rome. However, it does state that the Apostle Paul went to Rome. He was the perfect choice to do so. He was Jesus’ choice. When Saul was converted and became the Apostle Paul, Jesus said of him: “But the Lord said to him, Go! for this man is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the nations, as well as kings and the sons of Israel.” (Acts 9:9–19; Romans 11:13) Even though the Apostle Paul was born a Jew, he was also born a citizen of Rome—Peter was not. Being a Roman citizen gave Paul certain valuable rights and immunities. One important right Paul had, despite being a Jew, was the ability to appeal an injustice. In cases involving capital offenses, a citizen could request to be sent to Rome to stand trial before the emperor himself. Paul took advantage of this right on several occasions. Thus, he fulfilled Jesus’ words: “to bear my name before the nations, as well as kings.” (Acts 22:2...

The Word as Explained by the Gospel of John

Image
John was a cousin, apostle, and intimate friend of Jesus Christ. He referred to himself as "the disciple whom Jesus loved." John personally knew Jesus more than the other apostles did, aside from Peter. He no doubt had many intimate discussions with Jesus Christ as to who he was. John opened his Gospel account with the words, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made."--King James Version. Most people would not know the following because they would assume they are being told the truth by those who they trust to know. The Apostle John wrote his gospel in Aramaic and the common Greek. Koine Greek did not have an indefinite article, such as "a" is used in English, only the definite article "the". At John 1:1, the definite article is used by John in the phrase "the Word was with God,...

The Bible Answers the Question of Whether Aliens Visited Earth

Image
The question whether the earth was visited by alien beings who had an influence on humanity is answered in the Bible. They can be called aliens because they were not from our earth. They came from a realm beyond our physical universe, not another planet. The Bible calls them angels or “sons of God”. These beings were greater in “strength and power” than humans. (2 Peter 2:11) What people believe to have been the mythological Anunnaki were in truth angels, who were part of a rebellion. They possessed knowledge far beyond human understanding. They fathered a race of giant beings called the Nephilim to dominate humanity, at which they succeeded in doing for a short period of time. The rebellious angels attempted to alter God's plans for the earth. To save humanity from being genetically altered and eventually extinct, it became necessary for God to take drastic action to stop it and not allow it to ever happen again. Thus, the global flood spoken of in Genesis (Genesis 6:1-5) (2 Peter...

The Stage is Set for Revelation's Final Act.

Image
The Bible book of Daniel and Revelation are linked. Revelation is a continuation of Daniel's prophecies. (Daniel 12). Just as Daniel used beasts to represent political powers, so does the Apostle John in Revelation. Revelation 12 to 18 is a description of today's political and religious scene. The stage is set for Revelation's final act. The cast has been selected.  ) The Seven Headed Dragon--The Original Serpent, Satan the Devil. ) Seven Headed Wild Beast--the world's political system who receives their power and authority from the "ruler of this world", Satan the Devil. (Luke 4:5,6) (Revelation 13:2) ) The Image of the Wild Beast--League of nations followed by the United Nations representing the political powers of the world. ) Two Horned Beast--United States as an extension of Great Britain, who makes itself appear to be a Lamb or "Christlike" but speaks Satan the Devil's words with a dragon's mouth. "And he doeth great wonders, so th...

God's Grand Purpose

Image
Life, God alone possessed it. At some point, eons ago, he decided to share it. So, God put into motion a plan with a purpose. Only the heavens existed at this time, God's home. First, he created a spirit individual like himself. This individual, by virtue of being the first, would come to be called the Firstborn of Creation. Next, with the assistance of his firstborn, he created other spirit individuals and gave his firstborn authority over them, assigning him the title, Archangel. God also gave him the title, the Word, because he was God's foremost representative and would make sure God's declarations were known and enforced. This was God's spirit family, and they were called his spirit sons. Next in God’s plan, with the assistance of his Firstborn, he created the material universe. He assigned his spirit sons various positions of responsibility in taking care of this material universe, such as Cherubs, Seraphim, and Messengers, and put them under the direction of his ...
